At Voices for Children, our work focuses on bigger picture policy change for kids, but we know there are people on the ground doing amazing things for kids in our communities every day. Their stories are the pieces that make up the whole story of children and youth. The “Shout out” series highlights the groups and individuals and the good work they are doing for Nebraska’s kids.
This week’s “shout out” goes to all the donors who supported the Omaha nonprofit community in the Omaha Gives campaign. Over $3 million was raised in a 24-hour period! Each nonprofit in this community could not do the work they do without the support of generous donors. It keeps the doors open, the lights on, and pays the committed staff to do the work.
Voices for Children is no exception. Our work to affect meaningful change for kids relies on this support as well. Our participation in Omaha Gives raised $3,200 towards our mission of “telling the whole story of Nebraska’s kids.” On behalf of the staff and board of directors of Voices for Children, thank you!
