This afternoon, Voices for Children Economic Stability and Health Policy Coordinator Aubrey Mancuso testified in front of the Appropriations Committee to request that the committee consider following through with the recommendations in LR 400. You can read the entire testimony here.
The report from the LR 400 Committee concluded that that:
1) Additional staffing is needed to maintain meaningful access to public safety net programs until larger systemic issues are addressed; and
2) The current technology used by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) dates back to the mid-1990s and is creating barriers to meaningful access.
