Last month, the Annie E. Casey Foundation released the 2016 KIDS COUNT Data Book – an annual ranking of states on 16 key indicators of child well-being in the areas of Economic Well-being, Education, Health, and Family and Community. In this year’s Data Book, Nebraska received an overall ranking of 9th best state in child well-being. Over the next few weeks Voices for Children will be breaking down the rankings and looking at how we did in each indicator, section by section. We began last week with our highest ranked area, Economic Well-being and continue today with a look at our second best ranked domain, Education.
