2025 Kids Count in Nebraska Report Now Available

April 21, 2026 | General , Research , Kids Count Data

Voices for Children has released the 2025 Kids Count in Nebraska Report, highlighting the most recent available data on the well-being of children and families statewide. The report is an annual publication sponsored by the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s KIDS COUNT®, a national and state-by-state effort to track the status of children in the United States. The state report includes data across key domains, including population, health, education, economic stability, child welfare, and juvenile justice, to provide a comprehensive picture of how children are faring in Nebraska.

This year’s Kids Count in Nebraska Report commentary explores how food insecurity continues to affect children and families across Nebraska, examining trends over time and disparities by geography and household characteristics. The report underscores the connection between access to nutritious food and outcomes in health, education and economic stability, and highlights opportunities for policy and community-level solutions.
