Kids Count is here, are you ready?

The Voices staff, armed with data, is ready to defend the well-being of all Nebraska children.

Here at Voices, we have some treasured traditions. One of which, and a personal favorite is building a fort the moment our annual Kids Count in Nebraska Report arrives at our offices. This year’s fort is the biggest yet, made of boxes containing 50 books, each 108 pages long with over 200 indicators in each covering each of our 5 issue areas, county-level data and this year’s Kids Count Commentary: Equality Before the Law: An Index of Race & Opportunity for Nebraska Children. More details about this year’s Kids Count will remain in our fort until our release on Tuesday, but we can’t wait to share it with you.

There are a variety of ways to get your hands on this year’s Kids Count, and learn more about it and Voices – sign up to have a report sent to you, download it on our website starting Tuesday, January 12, attend our release event in Omaha on January 13th, or contact Chrissy (kidscount@voicesforchildren.com) to come to you and share her Kids Count highlights presentation (she’ll bring plenty of copies of the report with her as well as some location specific information just for your group).

Thank you to taking the time to share!
