Spotlight on Juvenile Detention

This week, we’re highlighting juvenile detention from a facility administrator’s point of view. These individuals are intimately involved in the day in and day out experiences of youth in detention. They see detention’s impact on youth first hand.

Ron Johns, administrator of Scotts Bluff Juvenile Detention Center, explains a little bit about the ideal use of detention, the risks of detaining youth, and his vision of where Nebraska needs to go to improve the lives of our young people.
