LB 625: Change income eligibility provisions relating to federal child care assistance

As introduced: LB 625 changes provisions relating to child care subsidies and requires the Department of Health and Human Services to provide child care assistance to families with incomes up to 185% of the federal poverty level.

Estimated Fiscal Impact: Using the current monthly average of $412.85 per participant the estimated monthly increase in Child Care Subsidy expenditures would be $928,500 (General Fund) ($412.85 * 2,249) or a fiscal impact to the Department of Health and Human Services of $11,142,000 (General Fund) annually.
